Argentina has not yet verified the identification of the CEO of KIP Protocol related to the Libra case.
The case related to Libra – the memecoin promoted by Argentine President Javier Milei – continues to spark controversy as officials have not been able to verify the identification of several key figures. According to local media, Julian Peh, introduced as the CEO of KIP Protocol, is currently untraceable. Interpol Singapore responded that there are no records matching the information provided by Peh, and the Argentine immigration agency has also found no trace of his entry.
Peh attended the Tech Forum and met President Milei in 2024, possibly using the Chinese name "Bai Qihao" to avoid being traced. Nevertheless, government records still show that a person named Julian Peh met with Milei on October 19 to discuss KIP's support for Argentina through decentralized AI technology.
Describing himself as a "visionary entrepreneur" in the field of AI and Web3, Peh has been under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice since February related to the launch of Libra, along with several other figures. He also appeared in a temporary freeze order of nearly 58 million USDC in May, in a lawsuit accusing the team promoting Libra of "engaging in deceptive marketing and violating consumer protection," causing harm to investors.
