Nexo and DP World Tour Launch Crypto Prize for Golfers

Nexo has enhanced its partnership with the DP World Tour by introducing a new prize for golf players who hold a course record at the conclusion of a tournament.

The digital assets wealth platform, Nexo, has deepened its partnership with the DP World Tour by launching of a pioneering new prize. Known as the Course Record Presented by Nexo, the prize is a rolling incentive to reward players who set and hold course records during DP World Tour events. The promotion commences with the inaugural Nexo Championship set to be held August 7–10 at the newly opened Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeen.

According to a statement, the first player to set the course record that stands until the end of the tournament will be awarded a base prize starting at $10,000. Furthermore, Nexo is offering an additional $50,000 in NEXO Tokens for a record-breaking performance at the golf championship.

However, should players at the Nexo Championship fail to set a course record the prize rolls over to the next eligible event, increasing by $10,000 each time. Once a record is successfully set, the prize resets. So far 10 course records were set in 2024 and six have already achieved in 2025.

“The Course Record marks the first recurring prize of its kind in golf,” said Antoni Trenchev, Co-founder of Nexo. “It combines performance-driven incentives with the reach and upward potential of digital assets. This is a milestone in our shared vision with the DP World Tour for innovation in professional golf.”

The prize fund’s rules state that it will run until the season concludes with the DP World Tour Championship, after which it will reset for the following year. To qualify, tournaments must be played on a single course, complete at least 36 holes in case of weather delays, and rounds with preferred lies are explicitly excluded.

The Nexo Championship follows a grand opening gala on July 29, hosted by the Trump family and attended by Nexo’s founders. As reported by Bitcoin.com News, the event is expected to boost Scotland’s gold tourism which contributes more than $400 million annually to the economy.

This initiative builds on Nexo’s expanding relationship with the DP World Tour. Last month, Nexo became an official marketing partner and the official digital wealth platform of the tour in a multi-year agreement running through 2027.
