Carney pointed out that the two countries will have comprehensive discussions in the future, which will not only involve import tariffs but also generally cover economic and security issues of interest to the United States. When discussing the U.S. authorities imposing tariffs on Canadian goods, the Prime Minister emphasized that Americans will suffer losses due to Washington's trade decisions.
