OpenAI's competitor Anthropic raised $3.5 billion at a valuation of $61.5 billion

On March 4th, Jin Shi Data reported that Anthropic, a competitor of OpenAI, has officially completed a $35 billion transaction at a valuation of $61.5 billion, consolidating its position as one of the world's largest startups. According to an insider, the company's annual revenue was about $1 billion at the end of last year. So far this year, this number has increased by 30%. Anthropic stated that the latest transaction was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with an investment of $1 billion. Other investors participating in the Series E financing include General Catalyst, Jane Street, and Fidelity Management & Research Company. Existing investors such as Menlo Venture and Bessemer Venture Partners also increased their investments in the latest round of funding.
